What is PMS (Premenstrual symptoms):
It is a combination of symptoms which many females get a week before their period. 3 in 4 woman get PMS once in their life time. Most of the times the symptoms are mild like mood swings, headache, bloating or headache but in rare cases they are severe known as PMDD (Pre Menstrual Dysmorphic Disorder). PMS symptoms are due to hormonal changes in body after ovulation. They need treatment only if they are affecting your day to day life.

⦁ Choose healthy food ( high protein diet, less carbohydrates, less oily and spicy food)

⦁ Try meditation, yoga, try out your hobbies to divert your concentration.
Medical treatment for PMS:
⦁ PMS needs treatment only if it’s disturbing your day to day life.
⦁ It may include hormonal treatment, multivitamin, antidepressant, anti anxiety pills.
⦁ It’s best to consult your doctor first prior to starting any medications.
